Mercedes and Audi drivers are, as a generalisation, just as selfish …. other brands are available

:o

Mrs B has always chastised me for not indicating and my response was that it was a mercedes so I didn't have to

I've now conceded defeat and bought a VW 4x4.

I still get chastised

Sorry Barney, your wife is correct, it was just a Mercedes NOT a BMW.

I've had the lot over the years Ray, from fifty quid bangers to top of the range luxury cars.
I'm pretty sure that my driving style has always been the same :D

I started to struggle getting in and out of saloons so got this tractor thing.

The cheaper models do come with indicators though where as the higher end models seem have these omitted at the factory for some reason :sarcasm: ;).

If the lazy inconsiderate s*ds can afford five grand fines then that's down to them. Not that I can see it being enforced anyway. Unless it's a terrorist attack or a mobile phone user you won't get plod out of they're nice comfy car (probably a BM). :)

I don't believe that there is any correlation, I have sworn at plenty of drivers in all sorts of makes and models for not indicating.

And yes, I have owned a couple of BMWs and still drive a Mercedes. My little stalk is well-used :)

(BMW is a better car to drive, by the way. Just a pity that they don't come with spare wheels)

Here we go...

Electric starters were an extra in my early days, as was a heater.

Do you remember when cars had a sticker on the back warning 'DISCS'?
My dad said that he could remember ones that said 'BRAKES ON ALL 4 WHEELS'

Few of us remember those Stephen but my first Morris 1000 had semaphore arm indicators, and it was about my 7th or 8th car before I enjoyed the luxury of power steering.
