Updated posting a picture/photo on the forum
This is a transcript I have sent to another forum member.....
In the quick reply box click on "Full Editor & Preview". This opens up a new box and bottom left you will see two tabs "Options" and "Attachments". Click on Attachments and then "Add files". Now find the photo you want to post and open it (double click on it). You will now see your photo name at the bottom where it says FILENAME. Now just click on "Add file" and job done!!!
Before you post it you will need to resize it to 400x400 or as near as you can get. If you type Free Picture Resizer into Google there are several online options. Try one of your photos in one of these - add your photo, click on resize and enter the size you want, in this case 400x400. Once it has resized I always Save As otherwise it changes the original and you can either save it to the original position but I tend to save to Desktop then delete it once I have finished with it. I only put it on the Desktop so I know where it is.
There are more detailed instructions here posted by Manoverboard .. ( Tidied up by Manoverboard )
There are different ways of doing these things and mine may not be the best but starting with the basics ....
I assume that you are using a PC with Windows 10, if yes you should have a File Explorer Tab on the Task Bar
* Click on it and select Pictures, this is where your pics are best stored.
I have assumed that your holiday pics are in seperate folders, one for each cruise perhaps. If yes then ...
* Right click in a space within the My Pictures display of hols folders various ... then click new / then folder.
* You will get a new folder appear called ... well, new folder, it will be highlighted.
* Type a new name for the new folder
* Open a folder with your cruising pics in and select one ... then right click on it then select copy
* Now open your new and sparkling folder and anywhere in the space do a right click then paste.
( If your new folder is still called ' new folder ' you could right click on it and select rename )
So .... I will trust all is well and you now have a pic in the new folder ......
* Right click on it and select ' edit ' or ' open with ' and then choose ' Paint'. The display will contain your pic.
Now to resize .....
* Click ' resize ' ( Top row - fourth along - in the middle )
* Click the circle that is next to pixels
* For landscape pics type 600 to the right of the word horizontal, the vertical will auto adjust
* Click OK and the display will close ( Your pic should now be smaller in the Paint display )
* Now click Save on the Paint page ( at the very top, an icon like a tape symbol).
If you now go back to the new folder you created earlier your Pic should be smaller than before, double click it to check.
* Do a Reply in the usual way but click on ' Full Editor and Preview '
* Scroll down and click on ' Attachments '
* Now click on ' Add Files ' below left of Attachment Tab
* Choose the file and double click it ...
( Now make sure the curser is below any typing that you may have added as a description for example )
* Finally click on Place Inline
.

Re: Updated posting a picture/photo on the forum
For those wanting help with resizing.........
For this purpose I have used an online resize program - https://resizeimage.net/
If you open this site you will find it goes through several steps.
1. Go to the first box where it asks you to upload an image. Click in the box and File Explorer will open up. Find the folder where your picture is stored. Once you have found your photograph select it and click on "Open".
2. Go down to No.4 "Resize your Image". Here you will find 3 small boxes. In the 2nd box delete the figure you find there and type in "400". The other figures will change automatically.
3. Scroll down to 6 and make sure the JPG box is selected.
4. Scroll down to the box where it gives the option "Resize image" and click on it.
5. A new box appears . Click on "Download image".
6. Now you can go back to your "File Explorer" then"Downloads" and there you will find your new resized photo, likely named "Webp.net-resizeimage" That is your new image.
7. If you want you can right click on it, select "Rename" and type in the new name you want. You now have your resized photo.
