Petrol prices

Unread post by Stephen »

A good time to fill your car up while petrol prices are low.

Morrison's unleaded 99.9p. Don't know about Salisbury's, but they are usually cheaper.

Filled up at the end of March, still not much room in the tank to make it worth while.
Don't worry, be happy

Me too Ray - the car thinks I’ve quarrelled with it - it’s in the garage most of the time in lockdown :lolno:

We use LPG but as with the cars it is three quarters full.... Btw… What’s the price differential between gas and oil these days... compared to a few years ago…I can never get my head around that kind of stuff.

After a bit of haggling we got our LPG for 34 pence Ltr with a cap of 6 pence a ltr increase for the second year....if that help you, Ken or anyone else who are good with comparisons.

Our experience is that oil is deffo cheaper but for those who prefer to cook by gas rather than electicity then LPG is the way to go. Don't worry about the money, you can't take it with you.

Filled the car up yesterday, first time since the
23 March. Not because I needed to, but as it was only just over half full, I thought at this rate it will be full price time I use a bit more and need to fill up again.
Full tank now, £22.76, happy days.

Paid .99 p a few weeks ago in Morrisons but doing so little mileage the car thinks I've quarrelled with it - its stuck in the garage all by itself - in isolation :lolno:

There is, of course, a theory that supermarket petrol is so cheap because it has no additives to protect the car's engine, so doing longer term damage. True, or just a rumour? - I wouldn't know, but I try to stick to Shell. But then I could, if I wished, drive five times round the island on a tank of petrol, so I don't really much care how much it costs.
