For all you pickled onion fans out there I thoroughly recommend these large crisp beauties.

Large jar (shown) £1.50

Hopefully they're not just a seasonal item

Funny that Stephen as I’ve had pickled onions everyday this week for my lunch…with of course blue stilton, garlic cheese and crackers.

My wife grows them I pickle them…I bought my pickling spices from Holland & Barrett and add my own secret ingredient of brown sugar…best in Shropshire apparently.

A friend of mine gave me a jar of his own made pickled onions recently, nearly blew my head off. Far too spicy for me.

I would normally buy Haywards Traditional pickled onions but they no longer sell them. Well happy with these ones which I think are as good if not better than Haywards.

Can't stand pickled onions that are soft.

We used to have tripe as kids. Awful stuff!! The best bit was a creamy white savoury sauce with onions made from the juices from the tripe. I vowed when I grew up I would never have it again and I haven't.

Love a good pickled onion if it's nice and crunchy and done in sweet vinegar.
