NHS anti vax mob
I was absolutely appalled by that lot out on the streets yesterday.
Hope I don't have to go into hospital any time soon, I wouldn't trust any of them.

Time to refuse anybody that has not received a vaccine (except due to a medical condition) from hogging ICU beds. It is time that the NHS started getting back to its day-to-day business and refuse access to those that chose not to take a vaccine. Or to put it into one of Johnsons sound bites... 'No vaccine, no access, no sympathy'.
I am still waiting to hear the prison sentence given to that woman, from Piers Corbyn's rent-a-mob, that was captured on video stealing and destroying vaccines, what a vile piece of vermin.

My neighbours grand daughter is an A&E antivax nurse who will lose her job shortly and is now whinging that she will have to give up her horse because she’s being forced out of the job she loves.Southern Belle wrote: 23 Jan 2022, 16:31I was absolutely appalled by that lot out on the streets yesterday.

Oh dear, what a shame.
If she loved the job that much then she would get vaccinated. Sorry but no sympathy whatsoever.

She’s not being forced out. She has a choice.barney wrote: 23 Jan 2022, 18:24My neighbours grand daughter is an A&E antivax nurse who will lose her job shortly and is now whinging that she will have to give up her horse because she’s being forced out of the job she loves.Southern Belle wrote: 23 Jan 2022, 16:31I was absolutely appalled by that lot out on the streets yesterday.

I find it worrying that people with medical training don't understand the benefits of vaccination. And I for one wouldn't want to be treated by someone who I knew had a four times, or thereabouts, chance of being infected and breathing it over me.

I believe the NHS in Wales may be willing to take on the science deniers.
I have no sympathy for them, they either believe in the science or they don't .. and if they don't then a science based role is not for them.
I know of several companies that have also issued a deadline ... double vaxxed or out .. unfortunately in our case that does not apply to the UK offices. Several of us have already stated that until they provide written guarantees that only double vaxxed staff will be allowed in the office then we will continue to work from home.

One of the things that annoyed me so much was their mantra of "Clapped now Sacked" Two years ago I assumed that everyone in the health service was doing their damndest to help. People were fundraising , others were cooking and delivering meals to them .Now the vaccine has been around for a year (A big thank you to all those who took part in the clinical trials),and the vast majority of the public have stepped up to do their bit -But not this lot. There was no mention of patients at all, it was all about "poor me"
I feel really sorry for their hardworking vaxxed colleagues who must be despairing.

What I don't understand is that many/most/all front line health care staff, along with those in many other professions, already have to have some vaccinations in order to be able to do their job - so what is the problem with the Covid vaccine?

Am I the only one that thinks that sounds like a nasty transmittable disease ?

David63, I guess one difference is that getting say HepB vaccination is a condition stipulated as a condition of taking up employment whereas these are people who are already working and are having a new condition imposed on them.

At the bottom of every contract it says:

Maybe an alternative to sacking them, because of the current shortage of nursing staff, would be to tell them they are at the top of the list to be laid off whenever staff reductions are needed.
Possibly with the sword of damacles permanently overhead they might ultimately see the light.

I wonder if any of them saw tonight's BBC report from the London Hospital. Six patients on the Covid ward. Five of them unvaccinated.

I saw that news clip as well. Initially I wasn't sure if he was referring to the patients or the staff.

It was definitely the patients. He seemed to be quite frustrated with the unvaccinated.
