RIP John Bird, a truly funny man. Along with John Fortune he demonstrated satire at its best. Talent such as his will be sorely missed. RIP

Hi Foxy, I couldn’t initially put faces to names but have just done so, and agree with you that the old comedians had a certain charisma about them.

Their humour will live on.

His humour and satire was funny without being cruel or disrespectful. Very clever.

Considering your profession, I’m sure you will have appreciated the contribution late Comedian Tom O’ Conner made to good clean story telling…every grown up could relate to his funny school teacher recollections.

One of the best of his generation I would say.

My talents were very much appreciated judging by the number of times I heard it said, "Who is this b****y comedian!"

In that profession a good sense of humour was a great asset.
