FAO AOTH Rob

Unread post by mavismumakrill »

Hi there. Just wanted to say I like your new Avatar. The three crowns of Kingston Upon Hull. When I lived in Hull and worked there as well I always addressed envelopes to Kingston Upon Hull. Then, when we moved to Bridlington it was a few years before I stopped addressing as Kingston Upon Hull. They never seem to bother about it now, do they?? It was a matter of pride and principle to me.

BTW: It still hasn't snowed here yet this last batch of snow. Very windy though.

Dear Mavis,

Good afternoon, I hope all is well and not too chilly in Brid.

How is the new baby? Not too new now I imagine.

I'm glad you like the Avatar. I am proud to be from Hull. It can't be a bad place because Dark Night is moving here!

Regards

You'll be having a good few night's out then!!!!

Baby is now 6 months old, has 2 teeth, sitting up, wanting to be on her feet all the time and is still absolutely gorgeous. We don't see her enough though. It isn't easy to arrange to get over there to them and when we do we don't have very long with them because of our carer/driver having to get us back home and then her get home herself. She lives in Driffield so it is a lot of driving for her in the one day. However, she is going across in two week's time to pick them up and bring them to Bridlington for a few days. It will be lovely to spend more time with baby. My son doesn't drive because he has a lot of TIA's due to an inherited blood disorder (blood clotting) and his partner has never learnt to drive. I will, of course, be trying to persuade them to move nearer to here but they have such a lovely little place with superb views, very quiet and they like it!!!

DK must have enjoyed his trip to visit you if he is moving to Hull. A lot is said about how bad it is there but it is only like anywhere, depends whereabouts you live. We used to live Wellesley Avenue up Beverley High Road.

Take care - Still no snow here

Mavis x
