Polite Request
I know that we all know one another on here and we understand one another but can you please be aware that anyone that is new to this board can be put off when a topic is overtaken with irrelevant posts, even though those posts are in jest.
Thank you.
Thank you.

I’m dead serious David
Apologies if I overstepped the mark.

Re: Polite Request
On a serious note, if you are referring to ‘Tonics’ thread then she/he posed a question and it was answered to the best of knowledge by those who replied… if Tonic was to pose another question, then it would get the same response…what came after in my opinion is the same as what happens on all threads (for better or for worse… depending on how you wish your forum to proceed).
As far as newcomers are concerned then I can see that with an established cohort of micky takers this could be a little intimidating but they in my opinion need to get over it, take the plunge and enjoy what is essentially a friendly forum with plenty of banter thrown in…something which I may add keeps this forum buoyant.
Where I do think the forum fails newcomers, is when a forum member gets singled out for expressing opinions which don’t meet with the approval of other members, which is fine, apart from the “tone of reply” which can in some instances be very direct, this I would imagine can come across as intimidating for those who would be considering joining this forum?. (I’m not referring to myself in the above comment)
All that being said… as far as forums go, I think this is an excellent forum, well managed and very well moderated.

Never thought I would say it but I agree with OL.
Now ban him and save him from being lynched on Coronation Day.

Re: Polite Request
Just a thought. Is this a trap? Several people here, not me of course, are doing to this thread exactly what Sir asked us politely not to.
He may just chuck a big cyber net over the lot of us you and chuck us you in the brig.

Re: Polite Request
I feel we should show David what a friendly lot we are. If we all meet up in a pub and buy a round of drinks in order of posting that will be a start.
I think I'm number seven, and by the time I put my hand in Mervs pocket, most will be on the floor.

To show respect for David's request and any other OP the demands of Moderation would require me to delete 16 extraneous postings.
