keep going salad dodgers, your feet are in sight
I am just 3 kilo's shy of my target gain and with my upcoming cruise, I should manage that by the end of the sojourn

Keefy, the crane driver said he couldn't get you out of the car, as you were over his working limit and you had to be covered in swarfega just to get you through the front door?

With only 2 more days before we set off for Southampton I have had a midweek weigh in. I have managed to lose the weight I gained last week plus a another 1lb. Feeling happier.

So pleased for you, Sue. I know we shouldn't let it affect our mood but it does so I am glad you are going off on your cruise feeling happier. Have a great time.

I've got rid of the 2lbs which Alan kindly passed on to my last week so back around the 140lbs mark.

Certainly the loss is not due to going without treats this week but more to do with more walking and we started ballroom dancing lessons. I didn't realise ballroom could be so exhausting! We are the beginners in a group of 4 couples so once we got over the initial self consciousness  we quite enjoyed trying out the waltz, the social foxtrot and the quickstep. In the words of Eric Morecombe - we dance all the right steps but not necessarily in the right order and not in time to the music

Good luck pinchers for your weigh in.

Isn't it annoying this 'hovering' with a couple of pounds, I'm up and down like a yoyo throughout the week

Well done Maureen for taking up dancing, I would love to but would never get my husband to do it .. maybe I need to find another man

Some times finding another man is the answer, Jo.

Some friends persuaded us to go and Ken really had to be arm-twisted because we had tried one lesson on a cruise and it was a disaster - too many people. Currently, the lady teaching us only takes a maximum of 5 couples and, so far, there are only four couples so plenty of room without knocking into other people plus, as beginners, we get a little bit of extra help. I was amazed at what a workout on the hips and legs it is. Everybody makes it look so easy on the cruise ships but we were absolutely worn out after an hour and ached a bit the next day.

Well done Maureen. A few years ago my OH said it would be nice to learn to dance correctly. We checked out dance teachers and studios and that is as far as it got.
It is lovely that you have found something to do as a couple and as you say the exercise use you get from it is second to none.

Just don't get too exhausted that you revert to Magnums for extra energy.

Same here, Alan, I've put a pound on as well. I'm going to blame the weather because every time we decide to go out for a walk it decides to rain and I don't mean just a little rain, it has been torrential rain at times. I'm not sure what has happened to the weather on the Isle of Wight - I'm sure we never used to get as much rain as this down south. I reckon those folks up north have been pushing the rain down south.

Hope your Mum is starting to improve.

Good morning pinchers,

Feeling none to good this morning so l'm going to keep this brief. I've had a terrible week as far as dieting, so bad that l'm too embarrassed to tell you what l've put on.....Oh sod it, I did say we should try and be honest so here goes.....give or take a few ounces l have acctually put on 2 lbs this week which means l am 13 lbs heavier than before l went on our cruise. Although l did weight myself last night and have been up most of the night throwing up so l may have lost a lb or two since then.

I will get back on track but at the moment l think its a case of the body ruling the mind.

I won't be eating anything today so starting from Monday l going yo give it another go.......btw l new those doggy sick bags would come in useful  :lolno:

Stay strong pincher and remember....' we are what we eat'

Regards

Keith

You can pop round anytime Stephen....but whatever you do make sure you use the command 'get down' as opposed to 'go down' as the last person who made this mistake ended up in hospital two inches shorter.

Good afternoon pinchers,

Having hardly eaten anything this past few days l think l could be on for a record breaking weight loss by this Sundays weigh in. That being said the stomach cramps and nausea have contributed significantly to this and definitely not a diet plan l would recommend.

Thankfully the two girls look like they've managed to side step this one.

Stay strong pinchers

Keith

Hello pinchers. I am hovering around the 140 lbs mark so happy with that. Hope everyone is ok and still enjoying the good weather which makes dieting a lot easier with exercise and salads.
