Cruise Community Nativity

Unread post by oldbluefox »

Just for fun so let's keep it light-hearted.............

If you were casting for the Cruise Community Nativity who would you cast for the various parts?

I reckon David would make a good King Herod.

(Can I have a rest from being the back end of the donkey!!!) :(

No OBF Dark Nightie should be King Herod, David should be the Chief Shepherd, GillD for Mary, and you can be one of the wise men. I'll be the ass in the stable! Silver Shiney for the Seraph.

As an official TBM perhaps I should be a King and bring Gold (or at least a donation of sufficient Bethlehem points to qualify for Gold status in the Nazareth loyalty scheme!)

That way JC will get priority use of the tenders to save all that walking on water stuff and 10% off the bill for the loaves and fishes!

Finding 3 wise men and a virgin on here would be a Xmas miracle in it's self

I actually played King Herod 3 times in the school nativity, my first born slaying went down in school history

I presume this is a PC production in which Jesus's parents will be a same sex couple (Mary and Josephine), his virgin birth will be as a result of IVF, and there will be three Queens mincing into the stable at some point!

Given how PC this is
I suspect any reference to the ethnicity of the 3 wise men will be redacted
also I suspect Mary and Josephine will have been on benefits and got IVF off the state, this will also help when they have a few more to sell on to the likes of Elton John or to get a bigger stable paid for by the Romans

3 wise women:

They would have asked directions ...
arrived on time ...
helped deliver the baby ...
cleaned the stable ...
brought practical gifts ...
and made a casserole

As they left, they would have said.....

"Did you see the sandals that Mary was wearing with that gown?"
"Did you see that Drummer boy, he can beat my drum anytime!"
"I heard that Joseph isn't even working right now!"
"And that donkey they are riding has seen better days too!"
"Want to bet on how long it will take before you get your casserole dish back?"
"That baby doesn't look anything like Joseph"
"Virgin, my *%@$! I knew her at school!"

I'd assumed the three wise men would have been replaced by three social workers.

And you can't call it a donkey. It's just educationally challenged.

And as for no room at the inn. Didn't it occur to them to book on line?

In the original, the three wise men were called Magi. What are the chances of that - three blokes all with a woman's name? :o

It was Christmas - so no wonder the inn was full
