Nigel Farage

Unread post by Ray Scully »

I am utterly heartbroken
Who are these terrible people besmirching the character, and trying to overthrow my hero Nigel
Is there no such thing as natural justice 'nemo iudex idoneus in propria causa est' any longer in our country?
A plague on all their houses.

Whilst working at the Tivoli theatre, Wimborne

Mr Farage appeared on stage reliving his early years

He entertained a full house of 500 patrons

Nigel came over as a rather pleasant gentleman

To me as his flag was well supported in the recent general election - circa 4 million votes - with just one success, does seem to be unfair

BTW I voted "blue"

I like him. There's no smoke and mirrors with him. He says what he believes whether it offends or pleases compared to other politicians who dance around the issues and never give a straight answer, just the answer they want you to hear.
I was listening to Yvette Cooper on Radio 4 yesterday lunchtime and she never gave one direct answer to a direct question. At least with Farage you know what you are getting whether you agree with him or not.
Of course there is also the security of knowing he will never get into government but our political elite need a good shake up. It's all become very cosy down there in Westminster.

I might not necessarily agree with his parties policies...... But I like him personally.

Ed and Dave didn't get near any real un-vetted voters during the election campaign, but Nigel was out there on the streets talking to people, whether they agreed with him or not, and fielding heckling with good humour.

Really, the bloke is a breath of fresh air on the political scene.

Hi OBF

Once again l find myself agreeing with you but if you wouldn't mind sending cash next time it would be appricated

Putting the EU referendum aside I wouldnt mind betting a large amount of money that if he were the leader of any of the main stream parties he would now be sitting on a landslide victory.

He is a very astute man with more integrity than Cameron and Co who will continue to make this countries rich, richer and the poor, poorer.

Regards

Keith

He got my vote as well, but you can keep your choccies as they're normally out of date anyway. I've just had one spell in hospital, I don't want another thanks :D

Ed Milliband had the same effect on me..................... 'Friends, heck I'm a tough guy'. Yeah! You and whose army, Ed! And as for that smug little band of Balls, Harman and Cooper stood behind him I could describe them but I'd get my wrists slapped. What a despicable little group they are.

I'm afraid I'm with you Foxy

Balls & his missus = URGGGHH !

Harperson - can't stand her !

Eddie Milli - a total non-entity in my opinion.

The only one I quite liked is Chuka Umuna and he's now decided to stand down.

Quite like old Nige though. I don't like many of his policies but as a bloke, he seems ok.
I'd let him by me pint

Pity about Chuka. Labour need new blood with fresh ideas coming through and he would have been a good choice.
As for Mrs Krankie she is till harping on about wiping out austerity. When I look how much over budget the parliament building at Holyrood was, free university tuition in Scotland, free prescriptions etc., wouldn't that all be better spent on dealing with austerity................ (if she is really sincere in that aim)? :silent: It seems odd to me that these politicians can plead austerity with one hand and splash money like confetti elsewhere on their pet projects. In my day it was called good housekeeping and sorting your priorities out.

Never met Farage or anyone from UKIP .. I am not a fan of UKIP (they sit too far to the right for my liking) .. but I am glad they exist.

The mainstream parties have been hiding behind political correctness and the demonisation of anybody who dares to bring up certain topics because they are scared to get into the debate ... so I am glad there is a party that has raised and focuses on some tricky issues. I may not agree with many of their points, I may agree with some of their points but it is time our politicians stopped cowering from discussing such issues (usually because they know they do not have the answers or that they will have to give a non-popular answer).

So I agree with Gill, a real breath of fresh air (and comedic value).

I think it's time Mr Farage dumped the Arthur Daley coat image.

I had thought he'd done the honourable thing by fulfilling his promise to resign.

Then, almost immediately afterwards, he's reinstated? That sounds, to my cynical mind, like it was staged. If he was sincere about resigning, I feel he should have left, whether the party accepted his resignation or not.

I'm afraid he's gone down in my estimation.

I think he should have stuck with what he said, stood down and gone on holiday. If when the time came for a leadership election he was nominated and in a vote by the party members chosen again over other candidates I think that would have been fair enough. But I agree his U-turn at Olympic record speed smells wrong.

Hi Merv/Shiney... I think he did the right thing, had he stood down the conservatives would have brought the EU referendum forward to June 2015

Naah, I still think that Ken's a decent sort of bloke who should deffo not be made to resign.
Keep smiling, it's good for your well being
