A few weeks ago I was out in the garden and heard a really loud buzzing noise and my neighbour shouting to his wife to close the windows - when I turned around there was a huge black cloud hovering over the garden wall - I ran into the house and closed the patio doors - it turned out to be a swarm of wasps - someone must have disturbed a nest nearby - frightened the life out of me. They disappeared after a few minutes but I didn't venture back into the garden for ages. I haven't noticed many single wasps either Ray - normally when the doors and windows are open you get a few flying in but I shudder still thinking about that swarmRaybosailor wrote:One thing I have noticed is that we have not seen a single wasp this summer, plenty of bees and butterflies but no wasps has anyone else noticed this ?.

That's because the striped barstards are all in our garden [POUTING FACE]Raybosailor wrote:One thing I have noticed is that we have not seen a single wasp this summer, plenty of bees and butterflies but no wasps has anyone else noticed this ?.
