Good thinking Emjay45. I love a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, or a Gin and Tonic. If a real ale is good I'll have a pint. But my days of more than one or two are over. Too many hangovers when I was at sea, and later when I was a Project Manager dealing with the Finns.emjay45 wrote:I gave up worrying about how much I eat and drink ages ago. I have enough to worry about.

Everything in moderation. It just means I'll have to get up a bit earlier to get my extra daily quoter in

Thanks for that Onelife, getting stuck in.Onelife wrote:No point in worrying about how much you are drinking after the age of 65 it's the amount you were drinking before that which will have caused you the most harm...get stuck in and enjoy yourself

Ooh Frank and I thought you were such a good boy when you were younger.Frank Manning wrote:Sue telephoned our Agent in Finland once to try to contact me and in the converstaion said "Dont let 'Frank' drink too much Raimo!" His reply was priceless and typical "He not drink too much! He is drunk before he drink too much!" I always remember him for his priceless and regularly delivered phrase "We go to hottel now, have Ginni Tonikki".
I had a simple method for knowing when to stop, which was to test my bottom lip. If it was anaethetised then it was time to stop. Happy days!

I know it !
I usually have a glass of white with dinner and may have another couple during the course of the evening.
Does it worry me?
Nah !!
My theory is that you are going to die of something and anyway, I don't want to live to be ancient.
Many have an unusual desire for longevity of life as opposed to quality.
