I do hope that our secret habit of being naturists at home doesn't affect our participation?
Cocktail sausage anybody?

Oh yes of course they are co-ordinating. Lots of pinks and purples going on! (Apart from the big ugly black surgical boot!)

Re: Ladies Who Chat(and men of course)
Many years ago, I was sitting in the NAAFI having a pint with my mates, when I heard a girl at the next table bemoaning to her girlfriends about the treatment she'd received from her now ex-boyfriend. Sobbing into her G&T (or whatever) she exclaimed "From now on, I'm looking after Number One!"
I turned round and said "That's very kind of you, my dear, allow me to finish my drink and I will go and fetch my laundry for you."
She went ballistic.
Now, gentlemen, can any of you please help me understand what it was that I said that caused such a reaction?

Not got a clue Shiney. It sounded perfectly reasonable to me.
I was taught to be cautious

Ha Ha SS, I thought you were going to say ...that girl is now your wife
Actually I think you were let off rather lightly if it had been me ( in my younger days of course when I was quite feisty
) I would have calmly walked over and emptied your pint over your head

Re: Ladies Who Chat(and men of course)
No, Jo, this was before I met the Lady C.
My opening line to her was "can I have your chequebook please?" (I needed her bank details in order to set up her salary payments and most people out of training didn't have a clue about sort codes and account numbers, so it was easier to just get the chequebook and get the information from that. How was I to know her father was a bank manager?)

Don't tell me, Jo, "how did you meet your other half"?
It was actually quite handy having a bank manager for a FIL.... "you bounce my cheque, I kick your daughter out!"
(okay, okay, I know, I'm going to get a slap)
