None at all unless you have a faulty telly! However it does use more on standby than pulling the plug out. But how many of us can be bothered? Someone told me once that if you leave you TV on standby all the time it uses as much power as if it was on. How much truth there is in that I don't know.

From what I have just read, a modern 32" TV left on standby will use approx £1.91 worth of energy a year. So I wouldn't bother risking your knees Merv to unplug.
