You can only eat the pink ones. The blue ones aren't ripe.

Re: The Children's Off Topic Thread
Am I just being too much of a Yorkshire tight wad, or do others think this is sneaky.
I have just cashed in a mature savings account with Nationwide, the only closure option was to be paid out by cheque no option to have a bank transfer. Consequently the account matured 28th, cheque arrived lunchtime post paid into bank (via post office) will probably be in my account tomorrow or Friday, but the funds will not be released until probably next Tuesday or Wednesday, so not available for me to move until then, and Nationwide will have had my money for 8 or 9 days longer than necessary.

I wouldn't worry too much John. With interest rates the way they are you're not going to lose much in the way of interest on £10.50

Re: The Children's Off Topic Thread
I see a white actor has pulled out of a film because he's found out the character he was to play is Asian in the comic on which the film is based. And everyone says he's done the right thing. Including me. But why then do they still talk about casting a black actor as James Bond, who is clearly white British in the books?
And another thing.... the social services department which placed a Christian child in a Muslim foster family. Would they have ever dreamed of placing a Muslim child in a Christian family?
Is it me.........
