Disappointed in you Stephen 😉

Cutting up trees is the most fun you can have with your clothes on.

Ok, I’ll admit that Mrs B was very worried when I did it, but no accidents and all limbs are still attached.

I’ve got an apple tree that has seen better days but unfortunately lent my chainsaw out and haven’t seen it since.
Hopefully the guy I lent it to still has it.

Our friends went to an M&S Simply Food mid afternoon yesterday, fully stocked and only 3 other shoppers. I think it is actually busier for the over 70s times

Onelife is offering a lend out service if that helps. :)

I need to get one, not just for my own stock pile that needs cutting up but claiming loggers rights to my mother in-laws copper beach that came down a few weeks ago. I think her neighbour have they're eyes on it too.

Yes you are right Mob it is important.........

With all the safety features you have come to expect such as Kickback and electric chain brake, this MC48Li 48v battery-powered chainsaw is easy to operate thanks to its low weight of just 4kg, making it ideal for all users

Joanne I went to my local M&S yesterday morning for "happy hour" for all us over 70's and vulnerables and had to queue - markers on floor directing you and keeping you well apart although one lady was walking the wrong way - you always get one don't you

Very well stocked even toilet rolls but I just wanted basics like fruit/veg/bread etc. Worse part is the washing of everything when you get home - I thought there was something wrong with my apples until I realised they still had soap suds on them :lolno:

Are you saying that you are washing apples with soapy water ?

I ask because we were wondering how safe it will be to eat salad stuff ( bagged or loose ) in the future and that if we do have any we would only rinse it in cold water … what will you be doing, please.

I normally only wash fruit under the cold tap but I am just going a bit further with fruit I eat the peel of like apples - don't wash bananas for instance but wash soft fruit as well and rinse well after. I always wash bagged lettuce in just cold water although it says "washed" on the bag but haven't bought any for a long time. I'm getting on my own nerves now - I am a bit OCD at the best of times

Don't the soap suds from the washing machine make the fruit taste funny.

Today I have had to discipline two of our teddy bears for breaking the 'lockdown' to whoop it up at the teddy bears picnic (rave). They are being made to self isolate in a prominent window with a rainbow. I dont understand why our neighbours' children think this is funny. One has to make an example of such flagrant disregard for precautions. It's more than my jobs worth. These could be seeds of lawless anarchy.

Hold on, there are men in white coats coming up the drive.

Today is the 58th anniversary of our engagement. We little knew that we would be lucky enough to live another 58 years, let alone still be happily married. In our wildest dreams we didn't imagine we would be celebrating in lockdown because of a global viral epidemic, with a pair of delinquent teddy bears. Someone asked Sue why on earth she married me, and she replied that I was different. Perhaps she was too young and innocent to recognise raving eccentricity.

Congratulations Frank & Sue.

We celebrated the 54th anniversary of the night we met back in February. September will see our 50th wedding anniversary.

If we both make it that far :shh:

Congratulations!

We’ve just passed the 40th anniversary of our engagement, which was also my 60th birthday. That milestone was passed just over 2 weeks ago, in the last gasp of life as we knew it. The future is uncertain, but my husband is the same as ever (that’s a good thing)

You could take this further. I saw on Twitter that there’s someone who does a different teddy tableau in the front garden every day.
