Jersey Royals need to be fresh, loose and grown in Jersey rather than, say, Norfolk.

Then they are very good
I thought under EU law......
No idea about that but we can deffo order them locally

I bought some in Tesco a couple of years ago at over double the normal price. They were IMO significantly inferior to my favourite Charlotte potatoes, and ridiculously overpriced.

They do need to be purchased from a ' real ' greengrocer rather than a Supermarket, but yes they are expensive.

While we grow some very good potatoes in Norfolk, especially for Crisping, I don't think you can grow jerseys. Are they not like Melton pork pies, made, grown locally.
Don't worry, be happy

We had a couple of scoops of Joe’s ice cream when we last visited Swansea…I can still remember it so it must be nice. Our friends owned a chalet type bungalow thingy at the tip of Swansea where we stayed for a short break.

They are doing deliveries and I have just booked one. I think the fact the earliest I could get was 25th shows how popular it is.

As someone who lives in Swansea Joe's gets my vote.
As for my brothers family when they visit from Wiltshire the first stop is Joe's.

Sticking with the smoked fish theme Arbroath Smokies are worth a try if you see them. Look pretty grim but taste sublime ...especially accompanied by an Islay whisky.
