Considering Utd have been absolutely garbage,to finish second and make a euro final ,I’ve got to be happy.

It took us 137 years to get our hands on it.
Looks like it's going to be an interesting weekend in the race for the Champions League. It will be a bonus for us but I can't say I'm optimistic. Too many silly dropped points.

Re: Football 20/21
Last night was amazing. Okay it wasn't the result we wanted but just to be back in Selhurst Park shouting at the players booing the ref in person, instead of at the telly was just fantastic. Made me realise just how much I had missed it. Roy got a great send off as well, it was quite emotional.
My first and last game of the season, roll on August 14th when it all starts again. Hopefully fans will be let in without restrictions. I simply can't wait.

What a difference it makes to the atmosphere having supporters. It's a different game altogether. Glad you had such a good time Bensham. Now I have a little favour to ask of you.....................
That fourth place is still up for grabs so it's going to be an interesting weekend, it's not over till the fat lady sings.

I always felt the play-offs were an exciting way to get promoted, better even than being promoted outright which, by comparison, seems an anticlimax.

Lost 1
Won 2
Trust me, it’s brilliant.
Tbh , even the one we lost to Man City was still a fantastic day out.

It's good for the fans but less so for the players because of end of season injuries ... I reckon

Our first Play Off success was a two leg affair. We lost to Blackburn 3-1 at their place and best them 3-0 at Selhurst. It was 1989 and Steve Copell's first success.

Re: Football 20/21
In our semi final in our promotion year to the championship, we were 3-0 down at Stoke with 5mins to go when Andy Hessenthaler hit a 30yard screamer to end it at 3-1.
Still a big ask but we beat them 3-0 at home then Wigan in the final.
League one will be even tougher next season with some massive clubs in it.

Re: Football 20/21
It's Non-League Day at Wembley today with the finals of the FA Vase and FA Trophy.
At 12.15 it's Binfield FC v Warrington Ryland FC. In the Vase final and at
16.15 it's Hereford v AFC Hornchurch in the Trophy Final.
Both finals are being shown live on BT Sport.
I've attended Non League Day several times and it's a wonderful day out. Fans are being allowed in subject to restrictions.

Apart from the second legs of the Championship games I aim to have a now and again peep at the Scottish Cup Final, Hampden Park or BBC Scotland at 14:00. T' Hornets have reportedly lodged a bid for Hibs' left back ... Josh Doig
ps .... who ?

Could be but the player is likely to be back up for ' Kiko ' so he would surely be ' Deputy Doig ' ?

Re: Football 20/21
Just ran out of steam in the end but can't grumble. It's got to be our best season ever apart from winning the League. Champions League would have been a bonus. It was there for the taking but we failed to hold on to our leads. Never mind, it's been a good season.

Re: Football 20/21
Who's going to be taking over at Palace? Frank Lampard has been mentioned but there are one or two options out there so who will it be? Who do the fans want?
Watford haven't had a new manager in a while have they?

The fans and the players want to keep the Cisco Kid so unless he loses the first ten games he should be with us for a while longer

Re: Football 20/21
Personally I'm not really bothered who gets it as long as he's British. Don't want that Nuno bloke what's just left Wolves. It wouldn't surprise me if they promoted from within, there are some very good coaches at the club. Some of them former managers. We wil just have to wait and see.
