The Times would have described it as ‘devoid of goalmouth incidents’
I agree with Bensham.
Get it forward and in the box like Leeds and Leicester.
Far more exiting for the fans

My team are as guilty as any of tip-tapping around at the back, putting it into midfield and then going back again. The most frustrating is when they have a promising break, take the ball all the way down to the penalty area and then pass it all the way back again. If it's not in the box or thereabouts you are not going to score. Possession football is not for me. I much prefer those who go for the quick break, counter attacking style which is much more exciting. Unfortunately we lost those with pace to long term injury and thereafter we struggled to upset defences and didn't have the back up players of any quality to see us through.
I thought England were much more direct than I have seen of late but I go along with Bensham and barney with the glood and buts style of football. When I played I was all in favour of the 'hoof it and run' philosophy!!

Whilst on the subject of England, didn't Kalvin Philips have a smashing match - strong, forceful and creative. MOTM for my money by a country mile. Local lad too

Kelvin Phillips was brilliant. I didn't think he was that good. What do I now.

I've been disappointed time and time again by England in tournaments that I am desperately trying not to get excited by Euro 20 but from what I've seen we ain't got a lot to worry about. I'm not getting my hopes up though.

Great goal against Scotland last night but what on earth was the goalkeeper doing so far out of his goal?

After a 20/1 winner at Ascot yesterday I’m feeling flush so I’m thinking of taking 13/2 about England winning Euro, that being said I could easily be persuaded to put my tenner on Belgium at 7/1….my tenner is in your hands…vote now!

England are 12/1 to win the tournament.
What that means in real terms is that if you put £10 on England at 12/1, you will lose £10.

England always flatter to deceive. I would keep your £10 and treat yourself to something nice from Ludlow market.

France v Germany was awful. England have got every chance of winning the thing. Italy play tonight, wonder how good they are.

Brentford are our first home game, I can't wait.

I thought France in the first half looked very good but seemed to run out of steam in the second half and Germany came on stronger. France do have some strong players though. Kante is incredible and the speed and dribbling skills of Mbappe will cause problems for most defences. Griezmann and Pogba had good games so I was surprised there was just the one own goal to decide it.

We have Wolves for our first game which I am rather pleased about. Recently we seem to have entertained the promoted sides early on which wasn't easy as they were all fired up and raring to go until they fade away later in the season. Brentford's a local Derby for you eh Bensham? Meanwhile Mob's lot have a difficult match against Villa, with or without Grealish.

I found out today that Jack Grealish scored his very first league goal against Gills.

They deserved the win.
Italy looking like a force to be reckoned with. Plenty of energy, skilful and will be a threat to most teams although Switzerland didn't put up much of a resistance.
