If we win both of those plus Leeds we may leap above Burnley & Everton ... is part of the plan
I do love an optimist.
Me too ... pray tell me which Division will the Terriers most likely be in next season ? ;)
It would be nice to have another season in the prem league, but we are no where near good enough to even compete in the fight against relegation. My youngest son thinks we should copy Norwich and pocket most of the money, make minimal transfers in and just offer the players a short term pay increase.
However I do hope we can make the play offs and give a good account of ourselves.

Still in the game after today.
Three teams on identical points and we play Fleetwood on Easter Monday.
It now looks like one of three to go down.
It looking tough for Watford now.

Not a good result for Watford and other results didn't go their way either. Not looking good at the moment.
The Gills point today keeps them in touch but they need a win on Monday.

Football wise perhaps best to switch off until August and then make a fresh start. Start building for next year and a promotion push.

Once again Moby, very unlucky not to have won.
Gills are massively improved since Harris came in.
He saw that the first half wasn’t working so took off a defender and put on another attacking player and it changed the game.
IF we end up going down, I’ll still be proud of the effort and will be confident for next season assuming Harris stays.
He’s a breath of fresh air.

Don't tell him that barney. You know how the Hornets like to have a new manager.

Then of course we had Ray, Brenda and Nigel followed eventually by Woy plus Way for a second time. All of which seems to demonstrate that we fared better with good ol' Johnny Foreigner Managers like Zola and chums.

Get Nigel Pearson in to ruffle a few feathers and sort it all out. King Nige is your man. You heard it here first.

Definitely not 21/22!
Towards the end of last year I attended a football themed lunch for a charity which operates in the NE of Scotland. One of the items up for auction was a signed Dennis Law shirt and a programme from the 1967 Wembley England Scotland game. The conversation turned to Jim Baxter and I mentioned that I recalled a tv play (BBC?) from the late ‘70s about two young lads in Glasgow. In one scene the lads were eating chips on a park bench and as the finished they scrunched up the chip pare and one of the lads threw it over his shoulder. A passer by chested the paper ball into the air, kept it up and volleyed it into a nearby litter bin. He turned & winked to the camera. The passer by was Jim Baxter. None of the rest of the table could remember the play & to date I haven’t been able to find any further details. Just wondering if anyone on this site can recall the play.

Have since found out it was ‘The Gift’. It was on BBC as part of the ‘Play on One’ in 1989. Tommy Docherty also had a cameo role.

Who is Jim Baxter ?
A footballer I assume but I’ve never heard of him.
I recall Denis Law relegating United but that’s about it for me.

He sure was and played alongside Law, St John and of course Jim Baxter. He won 7 Scotland caps.

Jim Baxter was a good Scottish footballer. He later went on to making tins of soup. (I think)

How about this for a stat
Gills have
W1 D1 L1 of the last 3
W2 D2 L2 of the last 6
W3 D3 L3 of the last 9
W4 D4 L4 of the last 12

Consistent or Inconsistent ?

I dunno 😂
