Why do the media, more specifically the BBC, continue to refer to the King and Queen consort, I don't believe that Queen Mary or Queen Elizabeth, who were both also Queen consorts ever referred to in such a way, so why do they need to use this for Camilla.

I think it was what the Queen wanted as she thought people like me would struggle to see her as anything other than "----" Camilla.

I doubt that, the wife of the monarch has always been titled as consort, but the last 2 Queen consorts, and probably all others before that, were always referred to as Queen, followed by their name, so why is the media choosing not to do the same for Camilla.

I think that gradually the addition of 'Consort' will be dropped and she'll just be referrred to as Queen. Maybe a lot of people don't appreciate that she's not Queen in the same way as Queen Elizabeth was. It's certainly an oddity in that the consort of a King is referred to as Queen but the Consort of a Queen is not a King. I had to explain to my grandson that a man can only be King if he's a direct descendant of a Monarch.
One title that presumably has been dropped now is that in the past, like in the case of Queen Elizabeth, when her father, King George VI was still alive, she was referred to as the Heiress Presumptive. This was because if King George and Queen Elizabeth had produced a son, although younger than Elizabeth and her sister Margaret, that boy would have become the Heir so she was referred to as the 'pesumed' heir. So things do change.

From what I can recall from various sources Phillip wanted to be King but it was not allowed.

I’ve got no problem with Camilla being called Queen.

I didn’t like her when she first come onto the scene, but allot of years have passed since then. She’s kept her head down and been a great support to Charles. I feel over time the country have warmed to her and would now accept her being named Queen rather than consort.

The captain did a ship wide announcement on Azura with footage being shown throughout the cruise in Manhattan or Malabar. A book of remembrance was also opened onboard. They had a minutes silence as well ... from where I was standing less than 10% bothered to get up of their loungers or even put their book down.

I suspect they will be playing a live feed on Monday.

Top story on our news this morning ... people complaining that they will lose a days pay.

My friend who has an engineering firm will not be giving his employees a paid day off.
He has 14 staff and times are tough.
He's given them the choice.
Work normally and get paid normally.
Take a days annual leave.
Take a day unpaid.
They have all chosen to work as normal.
They have time sensitive contracts to fulfill.

Don’t worry
He’s on the case where that’s concerned.
He very reluctantly pays for the usual recognised bank holidays but really doesn’t like it.
I wouldn’t say he’s the best employer in the world

It is very easy for the government to declare a bank holiday as, apart from Civil Servants, it costs them nothing. Even for those I bet the various departments have to swallow the cost in their budgets. It's the private sector that really has the tough decisions to make and bills to foot. As for the unions that regularly demand more bank holidays it's win win.

One wristband reached £70K on eBay, probably just rogue bidders!

One of the news sequences yesterday showed some of the bodyguards going ahead of Charlie telling people to put their phones/cameras away, they had a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet/speak to the King of their country rather than focus on taking a bad picture. Same as when the Queens body was being moved ... thousands of mobile phones ... why not just watch and get a better memory of the occasion?
