That would pretty much guarantee where my floating vote wasn't going at the next election.
If we are still talking about the triple lock, then I think it would be most prudent to limit this again,. Most pensioners can afford not to be reliant on their state pension, but those that are will need extra help which can only be funded if the pension increase is limited.
This is no different to the energy help that is being given this winter, it now wont be continued but the most needy can then be given enough help so they dont have to choose between heating and eating, and the cost to the govt will still be much less than giving £400 to everyone
It seems like simple economic sense to me.

It is being reported that Truss and Hunt did agree to keeping the triple lock before PMQs - is it true? I know not - only time will tell.

Reports are suggesting Suella Braveman has quit as Home Secretary... due to an honest mistake apparently.

It would make economic sense to limit the triple lock, as pensions are very expensive - which is probably why the Chancellor was making cautious noises. But Truss said in PMQs that she's' 'committed' to the triple lock, so most people, probably not unreasonably, have construed this to mean that the rise this year will be in line with inflation, currently 10%. There'll be a right old kerfuffle if she rows back on this

Breaches of ministerial code…sending ministerial business via her own personal email… but having made school girl errors she doesn’t bow out gracefully, she decides to take Liz down with her.

We should all vote “Green” and be rid of this parliamentary system circus.

Why anyone would want the job of PM is beyond me. Dammed if you do and dammed if you don’t.

I struggle to understand all this hysteria about whether or not we should be allowing fracking…. we’ve been extracting such as oil, gas, metals, coal, out of the ground for hundreds of years.

Bring it on I say…especially around Dorset, Cumbria and Down Souf

Well, it seems to have caused a kerfuffle tonight - reports of Rees-Mogg and Coffey manhandling MPs through the lobbies, and I’m not even joking

I agree. Whatever we do on renewables we're going to need gas for some years yet. Better to have our own than rely on imports. Or are we happy with the current price on the international market?

Of course it's a 100% reliable report. It came from a Labour MP. Whatever possible motive could they have for stirring things up?

I think there’s a tad more going on here than a Labour MP stirring it up

There is no doubt things are chaotic. But equally the opponents of the government will do everything they can to stir the pot and capitalise. So I will not automatically take an accusation made by a Labour MP as unbiased gospel.

Are you considering the other evidence yet?

The headline on ITV News At Ten. The quote from the deputy chief whip upon leaving the lobby ‘I am f**king furious and I don’t give a f**k anymore’

The incandescent with rage Tory MP interviewed by BBC 10 o’clock news.

The fact that Chris Bryant raised his concerns in the Commons -unless you are accusing him of misleading Parliament in order to ‘stir the pot and capitalise’.?

I wouldn't take too much notice of media reports which are highly sensationalised and often exaggerated but it's clear there is a power struggle going on within the Tory party. The Labour Party must be rubbing their hands with glee as the Tories tear themselves apart. One thing is certain, my vote will not be going to Starmer. Unless the Tories sort themselves out I'll not be voting since the others don't look any better.

Wouldn't have been in this mess had they not ousted Penny.

I’m looking for a platform from which I can kickstart my ‘Republican forum movement’, and as the Green Party is the only party prepared to get rid of the Monarchy, I thought it a good place to start. :)
