I must admit I thought the discharge service was a little unusual, with gentle pushing by one person while the others were packing my bag and filling out the discharge letter while we were walking at a rather brisk pace towards the exit.

It must have been someone’s birthday on the ward, as once I was the other side of the ward doors there was an eruption of clapping and I could see a cake appear on the scene. :)
