Well an over night refresh has still not cured the problem, maybe turning it off and then on again might be effective?

I have to log in every time on the IPhone but not on the PC, so it must be my end.

Have you recently had a browser update?

Re: Frequent login request
Oddly it started happening to me again and then I made a discovery. When I put in my password my browser was immediately logging me in before I had chance to check the "remember me" box. So next time I checked the box before putting in the password and the problem seems to be much improved if not completely solved.

Re: Frequent login request
I am checking the remember me box but still having to login each time I visit, I have had a Samsung browser update, but I use Chrome normally. Will try all of my other browsers to see if it Chromes fault.Mervyn and Trish wrote: 10 Dec 2022, 12:10Oddly it started happening to me again and then I made a discovery. I still have to log in each time, and the Remember box has been ticked. It also takes ages to go from topic to topic. It's been like that for ages but I don't mind, I've got used to it. I use Chrome and have the usual updates.

Re: Frequent login request
Well for no apparent action that I have taken, suddenly this week I find that I am now remaining logged in when using Chrome.

Re: Frequent login request
I now find I have to log in each time but also when I make a posting, as I did yesterday, first of all I get a page telling me a recent post has been made on this subject and I might like to think again. Then I press Submit again and it then tells me I can't make another post so soon after the last one - but I haven't made one. I'll let you know what happens this time when I press Submit.

Amazing, this time it was printed straight away. Not sure what will happen with this one!

That's one of the things that I find frustrating Carole, waiting what feels like an age between posting.

Carole ... the system is designed to stop rapid fire posting therefore it is perfectly normal for it to say that you cannot post ' so soon '. We also observe that you click submit but seem to get a tad impatient and click it again ... this results in duplicate posts which I have to keep deleting

Keep smiling, it's good for your well being

Carole, I have had the same when posting, so the last time this message popped up I returned to Port page and my post was there. I only pressed submit once.
I am sure I haven't got the shakeeeees.

Re: Frequent login request
I did a clear out of cookies earlier this week as I was trying to get my free 6 month trial of Appletv to work. Since then I am having to login everytime I return to the forum, despite repeatedly clicking the remember me button,
Any thoughts David.

Re: Frequent login request
I usually have to log in every day, sometimes if I log in early in the day it may go straight in later that same day if I return to the site. One day a couple of weeks ago the first time I tried to go on the site I went straight in, no log in but it hasn't happened again. I don't mind, I'm patient!

I would hazard a guess that when clearing out cookies you have possibly changed a setting so that cookies are not being saved.towny44 wrote: 29 Jan 2023, 11:52I did a clear out of cookies earlier this week as I was trying to get my free 6 month trial of Appletv to work. Re: Frequent login request
I will check that, but think it's unlikely, it's only this site that's giving me problems everything else is working normally.david63 wrote: 29 Jan 2023, 12:31I would hazard a guess that when clearing out cookies you have possibly changed a setting so that cookies are not being saved.towny44 wrote: 29 Jan 2023, 11:52I did a clear out of cookies earlier this week as I was trying to get my free 6 month trial of Appletv to work. It takes ages for mine to load up and to transfer to each topic.

Re: Frequent login request
I am still having to sign in every time I have been away from the site for more than an hour. But once I am logged in I am not finding that it is slow to respond, posts can sometimes stick a bit , but generally they load up reasonably in line with other sites.

Yes, but still no good, it must be a quirk at your end since so many of us keep experiencing this problem.

I can imagine how frustrating it must be but just for comparison I’m not experiencing any such problems.
