Now that we have joined the Pan Pacific trading group, will we be allowed to send our illegal asylum seekers to Botany bay again...........asking for a friend.
Let us hope so. Also to applaud the fact that we will be heading into a progressive market and away from the EU that is heading into decline over the next decade    .
The benefits include:

cutting tariffs on goods exports.
new opportunities from diversifying supply chains.
opening new markets for UK service providers.
improved data flows.
a trade deal with Malaysia for the first time.
more access to high-quality consumer goods.
strengthening economic security.
encouraging investment.

Sounds like deja vu. I remember voting for something like that decades ago. It seemed a good idea at the time.

Thanks for enquiring Ray, both girls are doing fine and in full production… not liking their movements being restricted but if they complain I just say Chicken n Chips which seems to shut them up. :)

As a child killer life will be far from easy. If he had killed another gang member etc, well it would be just one of those things, unless there were other members of the dead man’s gang in the same jail. Funny how word gets round.

Football players and Rugby players are to sue their relevant organizations for not protecting them from head injury in the past.
Now I thought the persistent heading the ball that may be the cause of dementia in players, was something that has only recently been connected.
The thing is, if you are taking action on something that was not known to be the cause and is now being excepted as a possibility, why are players up and down the country still heading the ball?
How can you take action against an organization, if they did not have this information during the time the alleged injuries happened?

These sporting authorities were told years ago about the connection between head injuries and possible dementia but chose to ignore the warnings. I don't agree with them shouting foul now. Boxers, rugny players and footballers have all known the risks for some time but have chosen to carry on playing their chosen sport. Their choice, they take the risk, their responsibility.

In 1969 John Arlott wrote this.

Did John Arlott know when he wrote this in the Guardian in 1969? “There were other professionals who became physically nauseated by the constant impact of a muddy ball on their foreheads. It is surprising that we do not hear of instances of brain damage similar to punch-drunkenness in those who went through this constant battering.” It’s a chilling line to read in the light of the latest revelations about the links between dementia and football and it raises the question, what if these “latest revelations” aren’t really revelations at all?

Surely the Grand old party cannot seriously consider allowing Trump to win the Republican nomination, they have got to to engineer the primaries so that Trump does not get enough votes to still be in the running when the caucus convention is held.

Paultheagle, very interesting Paul, I did assume that it may have only just been recognized as the cause, not being known about, as you have said, quite a few years ago.
So players today who continue to head the ball will have no comeback should they damage the brain.
Football is about getting the ball in the net, and would take a lot of self control by a player not to go for a good header.

It's all happening in Scotland this morning as Nicola Sturgeon's husband has been arrested in connection with irregularities in SNP funds.
Does he know Donald Trump?

The chances are that Nicola was oblivious to what her husband was up too so resigned
