Must be a tidy profit on selling eggs from your two chickens.

When you’re having to eat omelettes six days a week there’s not a lot of profit left Ray…I can forward my ā€œJust giving pageā€ if you are really concerned for my wellbeing though

I can’t Sir Merv…I’ve told her I live in a 3 million pound house, have three cars, two servants and a ride on lawn mower.

I knew this was going to come back a bite me in the ar*e

they do seem fixated on it, even when inflation reduces
There is a difference between cost of living and inflation.

The price of goods goes up which pushes up inflation but as inflation is based on year on year then those goods stay at the same price but inflation comes down.

So 12 months ago a tin of beans cost, say, 50p. The price of that tine of beans goes up to 60p due to the increased cost of transport - this in turn pushes inflation up. 12 months on the beans are still costing 60p but as there have been no other increases inflation has come down but the tin of beans costs more than it did 12 months ago therefore the cost of living has risen.
Do you know David I never would have guessed that. :sarcasm:

I see Canada has dumped Charles as their ā€œDefender of the faithā€ nice to see another country living in the 21st century…they probably think, like millions of others, that he is unworthy of the title?

Looks like a slippery slope from here on end :D

If you don’t mind me saying so, my old subject.
You do seem rather obsessed by this subject.
A recent poll showed that of those asked, 21% were republicans.
Of that 21%, 99% were obsessed with it.šŸ˜‚

I haven't seen anything about King Charles as Canada's Defender of the Faith but we don't get The Shropshire Republican Worker up here. Has OL been on the wacky baccy again? :P

Pretty funny and just shows how normal and natural that couple are when compared to the other publicity seekers.

Hi Barney, I don’t mind you saying so at all, however, from my perspective the topic shouldn’t be viewed as my ā€˜subject’ or indeed an ā€˜obsession’, but more as a service to my country. There is an ever-increasing numbers (especially in the younger age groups) who feel the Monarchy has had its day, indeed, it is speculated that the Monarchy will have died a death within the next hundred years or so, (can’t come soon enough for me) alas, I won’t be around to see this happy occasion but I fully expect to be recognised for playing my part in its downfall, perhaps in the shape of a rose garden dedicated to Onelife with an epitaph which readsā€¦ā€.He was ridiculed for his beliefs but shone a light into our futureā€  :D ;)

The opinions of youth generally change with age and wisdom šŸ˜‰
I know people who were raving commies in their student days but are now bastions of the establishment and Conservative supporters.
The young have very little so thereby very little to lose.
Most people in this country cherish their monarchy and most in other countries are envious of it.
The Queen was undoubtedly the most recognised person in the world.
King Charles will inherit that mantle in time.
Most grow up. Not all, as that is evident.

Dominic Raab the bully has resigned. Sunak had appointed Oliver Dowden as his new deputy.

The merry-go-round of this government keeps turning.

Wisdom is the realisation of where we went wrong,
I know people who go along with how the media tell them to vote.
When young people have very little to lose, they look for alternatives
In part true, they clearly haven’t seen the light unlike other countries that se the Monarchy as the pantomime it is
She was indeed, and I dare say Charles will take over that mantle, but to be respected you have to earn it.
Your last comment does you no credit but I will take it with a :) on my face.
