I couldn’t have put it better John…well-reasoned Posttowny44 wrote: 07 Aug 2024, 16:26I don't want to be rascist, I would love to live alongside any ethnic minority group in peaceful coexistance. But the cultural differences of the largest ethnic group are just too far away from ours, to make this either likely or pleasurable.
As others have said, until the government (Liberal Southern Elite) recognise that this is the view of large numbers of the indigenous population, and start to address this, then I worry that the rabble rousing far right will find ample fuel to continue with these "protests".

I see that Shamima Begum has been denied yet again an appeal against the removal of her UK citizenship
This got me thinking - perhaps all these hooligans should have their citizenship removed and go and live in a refugee camp controlled by armed guards in northern Syria

One would associate that kind of comment coming from an Islamic terrorist sympathiserdavid63 wrote: 08 Aug 2024, 19:02Oh dear - not good news for Starmer with Ricky Jones being arrested "on suspicion of encouraging murder after comments at a London counter-protest"

Amazing how they did it in broad daylight. They didn't make any attempt to hide their crime.

You wonder what they're going to do with it. You can't really display it and you can't sell it because everybody knows it's been stolen. In any case who would want a satellite dish hanging on the wall next to your flying ducks?

Give it a year or two and this lot will be waving the placards for their relatives…this country is becoming a complete and utter joke where control of our boarders is concerned…. embarrassing in the extreme.

“Starmer and France's President Emmanuel Macron have pledged to strengthen "cooperation" in handling the surge in undocumented migrant numbers”.

Re: Current Affairs 2024
They come here illegally and claim asylum. They are then sent to the poorer parts of the country where accommodation is cheaper into communities which are already struggling. Over time they set up their own community with their own shops, their own dress code, their own language, their own culture and an allegiance more sympathetic to the Middle East than the West. As one imam said "We like to live our own way ". And we not only sanction it, we encourage it.
As more and more illegal immigrants enter the country I can see the situation only getting worse. But why worry? Starmer and Macron are cosying up over a cuppa in an air of cooperation. I feel truly reassured.

Islam is not only a threat to the UK it is a threat to Western world…you only have to read a few passages from the Quran to understand how intolerant this religion is of Western values religions and cultures.

“Unlimited tolerance must lead to the disappearance of tolerance. If we extend unlimited tolerance even to those who are intolerant, if we are not prepared to defend a tolerant society against the onslaught of the intolerant, then the tolerant will be destroyed, and tolerance with them. ... We should therefore claim, in the name of tolerance, the right not to tolerate the intolerant.”

Re: Current Affairs 2024
Unfortunately there is a fear of voicing an opinion for fear of being accused of racism which is totally false. There are those of colour who have mingled in peacefully into our society whether it be shopkeepers or surgeons for whom there is no problem. Racism is not the issue (apart from the headbangers of the far right).
The issues for me revolve around uncontrolled illegal immigration by those taking advantage of our weaknesses and integration of other cultures into a British society. Unfortunately our politicians have yet to understand this or do anything about it.

Like you Foxy, I don’t see myself as a racist in any way shape or form, and yet, the mere fact that when posting I feel I have to clarify this position does demonstrate how lightly one has to tip toe around my belief that Islam is perpetrating division in what is otherwise a tolerant multicultural society.
Like you, I also don’t think multiculturalism has worked out how one would have hoped it would, that is not to say integration has been a failure but the concept that cultures integrating into the indigenous ways and values of this country is far from convincing.
That being said, we must all work towards creating a country where different communities and its cultures move in the direction of wanting to be part of a country that accepts different cultures and not live in fear of where some may wish to take us.
I have said many times on this forum that in my opinion all schools, no matter their religious ethos should be taught with secularism as its basis for its learning. Hopefully a more objective, scientific, informative approach would enlighten children to question all this religious crap being crammed down their throats…Oh! And while they’re at it, they could enlighten them as to why the Monarchy is such an outdated waste of space also
Opp’s, there I go again

Islam, as such, is not perpetrating division - in fact Islam is the exact opposite and all for peace and harmony. The problem is that there are some Islamist zealots who try to interpret the Koran to suit their own agenda.
