He is also running Hipop De Loire with top Irish jockey CT Keane..... here's hoping your right
I quite like the look of Mr Percy for a place although he was 16th in his last race last month

Hi Pompey, I got 6/1 about Ethical Diamond but couldn’t take a price on Epictetus. I had no idea the owner of Purosangue has two running in the same race, both it would appear having better chances than Epictetus going by the betting. The reason I’ve back Epictetus is that he has a bit of class and should he show that class he looks a good speculative bet at the price.… that being said his form figures leave a lot to be desired not having made the frame in two years, however, this race is a drop in grade for him so with a fair wind behind him I can see him reaching the frame at the very least….famous last words.Portsmouth wrote: 23 Aug 2025, 21:19Well Purosague didn't do quite as well as you hoped...although you did beat the favourite Mudbir and Rhoscolyn
I was surprised to see Ethical Diamond started as favourite but well done for getting the winner right![]()

A brave choice for tomorrows race with Epictetus... I hope you got the earlier price I saw @ 25/1 as it is now showing as 16/1
You probably know that the owner of Purosangue is running Linwood & Great Cheiftain in this race....(I spotted the racing colours were the same.)

But that will have to wait until another race.....Today he is a non-runner
Now let’s talk Purosangue, whilst he didn’t deliver the goods, I thought he ran a cracking race especially having lost many lengths just after the start…. he was lucky to stand up after being badly impeded. He is entered up for the Ayr Gold Cup currently 25/1 20th Sep and I’m really tempted to have a significant bet on him, however, I rarely bet anti-post so I’ll be slapping the money down as soon as Betfred go nrnb.
You should seriously think about following my lead on this one![]()
25/1 is a good price if he runs

You’ve got to be in it to win it Pompey…. just remember your good mate onelife if when your numbers come up.Portsmouth wrote: 30 Aug 2025, 11:38I agree with you.....it is a massive leap of faith but I like to have a bet on possibilities even if my bets are low
This is the reason I buy a lotto ticket / euromillions ticket...of course I know I'm not going to win or even get the second line prize but there's always a chance I might just get lucky![]()

What a win with that useless jockey (imo ) Oliver Stammers......you're having a laugh
