Rather astute. Not sure how you know that. Do you do racing tips as well John?![]()
Let's face it these characters from all political parties don't have a clue what goes on in the real world. This is almost as good as Gordon Brown's 'bigot' faux-pas.

For once I am in agreement, but then you also get those who only seem interested in distorting the facts and opinions, so it ties in with what they want to believe.Mo2013 wrote:But there will always be those who will stick to what they believe, even in the face of contrary facts and opinions.

Indeed, and not only at the last General Election, but all elections (local, national and European) have I ever voted Conservative. No way.Delboy wrote:I think if CJ or anybody else thinks The MM votes Tory, they are barking up the wrong tree, because if my memory serves me right, from posts he made on the old P&O forum, he did not at the last election. Although again if my memory serves me right he was happy with a coalition result.
This thread I notice has gone the same way as most political threads, whichever side of the debate you are on, there will always be those who cannot post an apposing point of view, without resorting to mockery or sarcasm.
I was concerned to start with, but given the alternatives, Labour, Lib-Lab coalition or a Conservative government I am inclined to agree. There is an awful lot of moaning and complaining going on which has meant that the coalition government has not been able to take the steps it knows are necessary due to public backlash, all that is doing is extending this recession out for longer than it needs to be. And people seem to have forgotten that we were days/weeks away from having similar measures imposed upon us as the Greeks/Ireland/Spanish etc. have had to endure ... that would really have given the moaners something to think about. The Monocled Mutineer wrote:I believe the result of the GE 2010 produced probably the best result for our nation and, despite the very arbitrary results that can be produced by the FPTP system, one hopes that the present balance of MPs will be returned to give the coalition at least a second term of five years.
