It's not new but it is a significant adoption of facial recognition .. apparently the accuracy is about 85% in identifying gender/age .. however I await the complaints (and complexes) when they get it wrong ... knowing my luck I will get the advert for 'Lillets' and Julie will get the advert for 'Lynx for Men'.
Maybe I need to wear a false beard when visiting a Tescos petrol station .. or maybe just pencil on a moustache before filling up?
Maybe a biker with their crash helmet on will get adverts featuring Duncan Goodhew?
It is scary that a few lines of code can pretty much replace just about anybody.
