Both our children live within about 10 minutes of our home, our son and DIL do not have any children, just two large dogs, their home is 10 minutes away by car. Our daughter on the other hand has 3 children, all born whilst we have been living in this Bungalow, but not here, the eldest being 14 years old.
I asked Lorraine tonight if our grandchildren have ever stayed with us over night, and she could not think of any occasion where they had. Lorraine has often baby sat our grandchildren over the years, and still does, as our daughters home is only 10 minutes walk away, she goes round there to baby sit, that way the children sleep in their own beds and any mess they make is in their own home.
The same with our sons two dogs, if our son and DIL go away for a weekend etc, then Lorraine will go round their home and stay there over night.
One of the advantages of living in a bungalow
The last lot of work we had done at our Bungalow, fitting a new bathroom, we got our son (he is a builder)

to do whilst we were away on holiday.
Our son moved out when he got married before we had this bungalow, when his marriage broke down, after we had moved here, he moved back in. Thankfully he has married again and got his own house.
