I'm just waiting for them to build a cruise terminal at the new (well not really) port at Coryton on the Thames estuary.

Mega easy access from the A13, which in turn is 10 minutes from the M25 and Dartford Crossing. Short taxi-ride from the nearest railway station which is just under an hour away from central London.

Oh, and mustn't forget, free parking on my mum's driveway a shorter cab ride away than the train station. :D

5 cranes in place now. Apparently another 5 to be installed.

Don't some cruises already go from Tilbury? That'd be quite convenient for you, Capt Black

Having researched this topic in more detail, it appears that the there will be a great number of cruise ships filled to the gunnels with economy draining pensioners, that will do nothing except circle the english channel
it is cheaper than putting them in care facilities, so the reason is plain ,as the oldies down south ,drain the economy even more than they do now, they will be shipped off to the channel, similar to the prison barges that filled the Thames in days of yore 8-)

so cheers up gfw, you wooden spoon will still work , when you are corralled aboard a floating care home also check with your loyal postperson this week as I have sent ypou a sense of humour :o

dear largest member

Given the over use of your large wooden stirring spoon, whilst you while away your dotage, I have taken the liberty of ordering a replacement from Amazon, so you will continue to have something to do to with your over abundance of down time, whilst keeping your wrist occupied to boot.
Secondly I have also ordered some lip balm, so you do not suffer from chapped and dry lips after your next meeting with your long lost favourite wordsmith.
Perhaps he can advice you of his his current domicile, so you can form a cozy little twosome and that way you new extra large stirring spoon may last a tad longer than your current stirring implement?
and this current confection of which you are so disparaging can return to a more even keel once the stirring motion subsides
Give me regards to you wordsmith buddy, once you have removed your lips from his ...e

regards
