Re: General Election
Until such time that TV presenters, press, and media stop sending out messages that Boris is a liar and the leave voters didn't know what they were voting for we will never move on........cos this is what the whinging remainer voters use to fuel their "still" doom and gloom predictions.
As l said a couple of days back we need to mend bridges and build new ones..

With that in mind, I've avoided all contact with you for some time, as you referred to me in a way I found unacceptable.Onelife wrote: 14 Dec 2019, 09:39

I therefore tentatively walk to the centre of the bridge hoping to meet you. All it will take is one word from you (5 letter word, beginning with 's') and what happened previously will be deleted from my memory.

I'm willing to meet you more than halfway with oory....If you really want to build bridges then one small 's' will do the trick.

Watched Sophie Ridge this morning, can’t believe but not surprised how much the ‘ Opposition ‘ are so much in denial. The only one who said it as it is was Caroline Flint.Notice Labour didn’t roll out soppy Gardener or Ashworth instead it was Burgon who said he didn’t think the next election would be about Brexit, well who would have thought.

There are appalling political posts littering FB. On both sides but mainly sore losers. The language in some is unrepeatable in polite company, as I consider our group to be. Which says more about the posters than about the politicians, mainly Boris, at whom they are directing their bile.

You obviously frequent far more unpleasant groups on FB than I am used to Merv.Mervyn and Trish wrote: 15 Dec 2019, 18:23There are appalling political posts littering FB. Not in groups really John. Just in replies in conversations I see. For example started by reports posted by our local paper.

Re: General Election
I had a quick look at some postings on our local papers site, which is now owned by Trinity Mirror and has switched from Liberal to Labour. There one or two throwing tantrums and agreeing with the "not my Prime Minister" protesters, but the majority, even the Labour or Liberal supporters seem prepared to accept the result and declaring that's what Democracy is all about, sometimes you win sometimes you lose, and a lot are blaming the current school culture that everyone should now be a winner, just so the poor pupils don't get upset.Mervyn and Trish wrote: 15 Dec 2019, 21:33Not in groups really John. I’m still fuming that Adam Peaty didn’t even make the voting form.
