In that case HK, not sure you would like the chicken korma I made recently. The recipe called for apple, raisins, dried apricots and bananas! :)
If it wasn't for the chicken, that would be right up my street.
Fortunately for me, that is right up my street.... 13 doors up, to be precise. I'm off tomorrow afternoon, Welshy, expect a call.....

I guess it would work just as well with an alternative to chicken. I'l put the recipe up tomorrow, off to work now though!

In the name of all that's holy do NOT put up that recipe!

Sorry HK, you're over-ruled! :)

500g chicken
1 large onion - chopped
1 apple - cored and chopped
2 garlic cloves - crushed
2 tbsp Korma curry paste
400ml stock
25g raisins
25g chopped dried apricots
1 tbsp cornflour
1 large banana - sliced
4 tbsp low fat yogurt

Brown off the chicken in a little oil, add the onion, apple and garlic and cook for 2-3 mins. Stir in curry paste
Add stock, raisins and apricots. Bring to the boil, reduce heat and simmer, part covered for 35 mins
A few minutes before serving, blend cornflour with 2 tbsp water and stir in. Add banana and cook for a few minutes
Serve with rice, top each portion with the yogurt.

I added the yougurt to the curry before serving, and also this is a very mild recipe, I'm going to add more curry paste next time

Enjoy!

Nice one, boss.

I'll take care of steps 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7, you can deal with step 5. Okay?

I'm not trying to be funny, but is there a particular reason?

There are several things I won't eat, particularly most root vegetables like swede and turnip, because of a bad experience as a child.

Other things I have tried and I just don't like.

Vindaloo is too much for me, I can't go much hotter than a jalfreizi

What can be better than tender roast pork, crispy crackling and loads of apple sauce... Mouth is watering as I think of it... But I have a friend who would NEVER eat fruit with anything savoury so HK you are not alone

Well ... I read this Topic until line 4 of the OP ... then I took sick leave.

LARD .... yuk!!!

For a slightly healthier option we also pre cook our chicken to an off pink colour in the oven to get rid of the toxins, excess fat and water before adding it to the curry sauce or whatever.

We also enhance our food with various fruits ... apple, orange juice, apricots, prunes etc ... yummy
Keep smiling, it's good for your well being

I have just discovered the tastiest snack known to man - dry roasted peanuts coated in a Wasabi sauce. They are called Nutties and you can get them in Morrisons. They are definitely not for the korma crew though :D
