Missed this yesterday so hope all went well dear bat :thumbup: Based on what we lost during the last move I'd add 10% to the removal budget for replacements :lol:

I'll have you know that oop north we have lectric and tinternet. I presume we have not heard from the batty one since his pooter is coal-fired and he's probably still getting steam up. Just enjoy the peace and quiet as he'll be back shortly like a demented whirling dervish!! :lol:

He's probably just discovred that Broadband speeds are very very slow in 'ull and that some of the existing residents, and fish, are moving to Derby for a much better service :wave:

I'd heard that while 'ouse prices in 'ull have plummeted, the market has suddenly and unaccountably picked up in Derby. Also heard tell of street parties. Hmmm. :sarcasm:

Kingston Upon Hull, if you don't mind!!!!! You wouldn't call Kingston upon Thames just Thames so why should Kingston Upon Hull be just called Hull or 'ull. A matter of pride for the older generation who have lived or who live in Kingston Upon Hull. Hope DK gets it right....

interesting point - just about no one calls Kingston upon Thames by its full name - just Kingston!
not even sure if the station plate has the 'upon T' on it!

Went to Uni in Hull (or 'Ull) back in the seventies - offically Kingston upon H (the Hull being a local river) but all the locals called it Hull (or 'Ull) back then. :thumbup:

As soon as they put an "H" in the Yorkshire Alphabet we will start calling them Hull and Huddersfield. Until then......!
